East Edmonton MTB Trails

Nothing too crazy with this trail, no major ups or downs. Has 2 skinnys and a rock a-frame. Tighter turns but still fairly fast, and smelly. A nice connector for Gold Digger and Sideline. 2020 update: new bridge over a mud hole. New ride around from mud hole.
Holy Trail Connector is a 64m moderately popular green singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used in both directions and has an easy overall physical rating with a 13 m green climb. On average it takes minutes to complete this trail.
Happy Ending Hill is a 479m popular green singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used in both directions and has an easy overall physical rating with a 20 m green climb. On average it takes 3 minutes to complete this trail.
Hustler is a trail that most would consider a higher end intermediate trail. On the western side there are two main bridges that would be challenging to less experienced riders. While the trail has flow, it's flow that you'll have to work for with a few punchy climbs and elevation changes. The section on the eastern side of the creek is by far the most fun and flowy once you learn what gear to be in.
An intermediate trail above the wastewater treatment plant. The trail flows along the river valley with several relaxed climbs as well as a couple of short but steep sections. There are about 6 sections which cross other right of ways or cross country ski paths. Trail flows better from west to east.
Grab a slice and shred this sweet piece of single track. Total distance is 2,615 feet, which takes about 00:07:23 on average to complete.
A nice fast trail from west to east and an endurance challenging one from east to west. Follows Riverside golf course. Watch out for stray golf balls and gophers.

Old school technical single track. Lots of ups, downs, twists, turns, and roots. It's a trail that keeps you on your toes.
Flowy single track complete with berms, skinny bridge and boardwalk to make things interesting.
Satisfaction is guaranteed with this little gem. A slight ascent with a nice descent flowing into Andre's trail from Caddytrack; Happy Ending compliments the two nicely.
Higher Edukation is a 415 m popular blue singletrack family friendly trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This multi-use trail can be used both directions and has a easy overall physical rating with a 10 m green climb. On average it takes 2 minutes to complete this trail.
Dawson Traverse is a 467 m moderately popular blue singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating with a 9 m blue climb. On average it takes 2 minutes to complete this trail.
A short, steep, rutted, climb sets the tone for this XC single track connection from McAloon to the Holy Trail. There are several more short but challenging climbs, some with downhill preludes that let you coast most of the way up if you get the flow right. There is plenty of challenge in this trail to mark your fitness / skill progression over the season.

Gravel multi use path - good for connecting singletrack, but that's about it. The total distance is 5,256 feet, which should take about 00:08:37 to complete.
A flowy swoop through various forest types. Go southbound and get a fast descent to the river. NOTE: This trail is not maintained by EMBA.
IMBA Trail is a 738 m popular blue singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating with a 30 m green climb. On average it takes 4 minutes to complete this trail.
The best section of the three Slinkys. This trail can be ridden in both directions. Total distance is 820 feet, which takes about 00:01:22 on average to complete.
A rolling XC trail towards Emily Murphy park with some "pump track style" rollers near the top. Total distance is 3,642 feet, which takes about 00:07:26 on average to complete.
A nice ride in the woods. This trail can be ridden in both directions. Total distance is 3,425 feet, which takes about 00:05:49 on average to complete.
Wonder Woman is a 327 m popular blue singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating with a 1 m black diamond climb. On average it takes 2 minutes to complete this trail.
Starting just south of the 102 ave bridge (for the more enjoyable direction), ride east along some nifty bench cut trail that has some tricky off-camber roots to get your blood pumping. Follow that with a good mixture of easy climbs and smooth downhill through foliage that runs the gamut from tiny spindly bushes, to large evergreens, a couple of switchbacks to a couple twisty whoops through a grassy section ending up at the bottom of the uppers stairs above the Victoria Park golf course.
Roots. Lots of them. Enough fun to start at the 142nd Street Bridge and then turn around and do it again from the other direction. And then the Back Breaker Trail.
The companion to Root Canal this trail continues to traverse the rooty Mckinnon Ravine. Large berms help increase the flow on this technical trail.
Old Timer's is a highly rated 296 m popular blue singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating with a 3 m blue climb. On average it takes 1 minutes to complete this trail.
A significant portion of the old trail is closed and this is the remaining section of skyline. This trail can be ridden in both directions. Total distance is 2,014 feet, which takes about 00:02:20 on average to complete.
This is a really well flowing trail that works well in both directions. Extreme caution should be used as this trail has some of most high speed head-on collisions of any trail in Edmonton.
One of the most fun sections of trail in Mill Creek, the Trap has punchy climbs, a combination of tight/tricky and flowy corners, plus a little mini-feature to spice things up.
Fun XC trail best done southbound, has a few punchy climbs and fun descents. Total distance is 2,210 feet, which takes about 00:04:04 on average to complete.
At times rooty but with several rewarding flow sections, this singletrack parallels the main Emily Murphy Access trail, with several access points, of differing complexity, to come on or off.
Popular with Downhillers this trail has a couple of line variations with some drops, jumps and berms to make things interesting. Total distance is 794 feet, which takes about 00:01:03 on average to complete.
Single track that winds through tight overhanging bush creating a cool tunnel effect. The trail rolls and flows well in both directions. Total distance is 3,232 feet, which takes about 00:05:31 on average to complete.
Rough and loose, this trail descends quickly with some tight corners, narrow sections, steep drops. Total distance is 1,890 feet, which takes 00:03:25 on average to complete. Can be ridden in both directions.
A very fun, but also very technical trail with punchy rooty climbs, steep descents with tight corners and a bit of flow here and there. One of the longer technical sections of singletrack in Mill Creek and definitely one worth riding. (Look behind you to the right after the downhill section at the start to see the dragon carving) Can be ridden in reverse but would not recommend. Primary direction would be northbound.
West Edmonton MTB Trails

A flat winding trail that skirts the edge of Oleskiw meadow. The vertical change over time features a 55 foot climb with a 63 foot descent, and the total distance is 4,748 feet. This trail will take about 00:04:47 on average.
Is it flat? Yes, yes it is. This mellow green is a total of 4,426 feet in distance, which will take around 00:09:46 in total. Challenge yourself by continuing the ride on Flat Pete.
West Beach is a 946 m popular green singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used in both directions with a 13 m green climb. On average it takes 4 minutes to complete this trail.
AKA Oleskiw Single Track. Watch out for those whippy branches. BDSM is a total distance of 1.2 miles, which takes an average of 00:08:41 to complete.
This is the mustang trail shortened to exclude the final climb. Shortening was done at the request of the city,
Old deer trail widened into single track that follows the lip of Westpointe Ravine. Dives down into the ravine about halfway through and follows the creek bed toward North Sask River. Connects to Skoot-n-Shoot and Mustang to make about 2.5 km of single track.
Old School, twisty, tight singletrack with over a dozen log overs. Almost no elevation change. Total distance is 2,949 feet, which will take about 00:05:47 on average.
Flowy, twisty single track with a couple of berms and a bridge. Accessed from the left of the Fort Edmonton Fort Bridge or continuing from Flatter Pete. Total distance is 3,506 feet, which will take 00:10:15 on average.
Twisted Sister is a highly rated 390 m popular blue singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used in both directions and has an easy overall physical rating with a 3 m green climb. On average it takes 1 minute to complete this trail.
Tear Willy is a 440 m popular blue singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating with a 11 m blue climb. On average it takes 2 minutes to complete this trail.
A couple of climbs and a couple of descents in the middle of the park.
River Run is a 398 m popular blue singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used downhill primary and has a moderate overall physical rating. On average it takes 1 minute to complete this trail.
Root Shoot is a 229 m popular blue singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used in both directions and has an easy overall physical rating with a 0 m green climb. On average it takes 1 minute to complete this trail.
Upper Corkscrew is a 249 m popular blue singletrack scenic trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating with a 2 m blue climb. On average it takes minutes to complete this trail.
Offering some of the best views in Terwilliger, this trail winds along the edge of the bluff.
The new version of the golf course trail. While it doesn't share the pure speed of its predecessor, it will ride similar to the popular trails on the east side of the city.
Climb from multi-use trail up to Solicitor General College - stay right at fork to Blind Justice - stay left at top of hill in the open field.
Justice Training Loop (2) is a 405 m popular blue singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating with a 32 m black diamond climb. On average it takes 3 minutes to complete this trail.
Awesome fast, flowy trail. All downhill, save for a couple quick, fun, rooty uphills and flat sections. A 4 foot climb leads to a quick 144 foot descent. Total distance is 1,513 feet, which will take about 00:02:25 on average.
A tight winding trail up and down the Fort Edmonton hillsides through a Birch forest. This trail is not for the weak at heart, it features many successive punchy climbs and tight turns. The eastern end will test your heart and leg muscles to the max. Be sure not to miss the road crossing into the final cool-down on the western end of the trail that leads to the Fort Edmonton Footbridge.
Deliverance is a highly rated 902 m popular black diamond singletrack trail located near Edmonton Alberta. This mountain bike primary trail can be used both directions and has a hard overall physical rating with a 25 m black diamond climb. On average it takes 9 minutes to complete this trail.
